Morning bike ride 10/4/14:

The weather at 7:00 in the morning on Saturday was too nice to pass up so we hopped on our bikes with water, granola bars and my phone, otherwise known as my camera. (It gets way more use as a camera than a phone.) The plan was to try to find the two major highways, Rtes. 10 and 1, where we were told we would find some good biking under the elevated roadways. This is what we found instead:

Not exactly what we were hoping for. But, being the intrepid adventurers that we are, we soldiered on and were rewarded with another bike path along a little tributary of the Love River:

We even came across a sweet little waterfall:

We will forever call this section of our new bike path "The Waterfalls" because not only was there a waterfall, Lee took a slow motion header off his bike. And for those of you unaware of Lee's lineage, his mother's maiden name is Waters. Get it? Waters fall, waterfalls.

So, back to the adventure. We knew we were back on part of the extensive bike path system because they have pretty good signage, including these pretty tile decorations on the paths:

We spent about 2 hours out on the bikes but only covered about 9 miles. Not like our 25 mile treks we used to do in Connecticut but here we get to finish off with a latte in the park. Not bad.
