We headed out at 7:30 and the traffic was only beginning to build. Our ride was all on the street to Chenching Lake, then we biked around the park for awhile before heading home. We've been there a couple of times before and like the ride because we get in some hills even if it is with the traffic.
We flashed our ARC's (alien residency cards) at the gate and headed into the park to explore some roads we haven't been on before. I saw this cute statue.
Some day I hope to be able to read enough Chinese to get the gist of the explanation.
We came across this sign and I chose not to travel down that path, for obvious reasons.
Instead, we found a lovely picnic area filled with people having tea. The picnic tables were perched all over the side of the hill.
After a half hour of biking at the lake we came across what appeared to be a fun-run for little kids and their families. Time to head home!
The rest of the day has been a relaxing day filled with schoolwork, apartment reorganization and weaving. It's the first really unplanned weekend in six months. It's sometimes nice to just be a blob.
