We biked up the west coast of the city (the far side of Monkey Mountain) on a route we call the Escape 41 road. There used to be a restaurant off the road called that, because there were 41 stairs down to the patio along the water, but it closed. We still use the name to identify the road because, as far as we know, there is no other name. We haven't done the route since the fall. It's got a lot of hills and there is no shoulder on the road, unless you call the 2 foot deep drainage trench a shoulder, and the sight lines are awful and etc. It's always been easy to forgive ourselves for not biking there more often, but every time we go there we kick ourselves for not going more often. Here's the view:
We had packed a picnic so we could enjoy a sunset dinner on the beach at Cijin Island so after our trip up the cliffs we came down to our own little beach cabana.
It was lovely. We promised ourselves to go back every evening before we leave. Only eight left.
