Happy Birthday Marisa!
Today is our lovely niece Marisa's 13th (!!!) birthday. We hope you have a simply fantastic day and welcome to the teens. :)
Today also marks our three month Taiwan anniversary. It's hard to believe it's already been three months and it's hard to believe it's only been three months. It feels like we just left Connecticut but it also feels like we've been here forever. Time is such an odd thing sometimes.
Today seemed like a good day to do a lot of different trips. The security guard at the parking garage must have thought we were crazy. We took the bikes to the plastics store (the mini Walmart that has everything plastic, etc.) to get yoga mats and laundry detergent, came back to unpack, left again to go to Costco to get bagels, coffee and granola, came back to unpack. Then we left again to go for a hike at the nature preserve for a couple hours. Later this evening we'll take the bikes out one last time to have dinner at some friends' apartment (chili and tiramisu. Sounds good, right?). Busy, busy, busy.
Here are the photos from the Zhongdou Park. We've biked past it many times and finally fit a visit into our busy schedules. There's a little tidal river that flows through it. You may ask, how did we know it was tidal? It wasn't because we tasted it (yuck!) but the fact that we saw jellyfish undulating leisurely along amongst the fish.
